Free IT Equipment Disposal
Oneplace2save has always offered IT removal and eco-friendly waste disposal, as part of our house removals and office clearance services.
However, now, we are offering a free IT disposal and recycling service to all of our customers. This is just one of the value-added services we are now in a position to provide, which also includes competitive rates on long-term storage solutions.
As a full-service London man and van company, which has been operating for more than a decade, we are always striving to improve our offering, both for our customers, and the environment.
We are recognized by the Environment Agency for the collection and disposal of domestic and commercial goods. Furthermore, all of our waste disposal complies with GDPR as well as Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) directives.
We recycle as much as we can and dispose of anything that can’t be recycled safely and responsibly.
With technology companies upgrading their products seemingly every day, a lot of ‘old’ computers and other IT equipment ends up on the scrap heap or taking up valuable space in your home or office.
Not only is this inconvenient for you, and damaging to the environment, it also means that IT equipment that could potentially be used is quite literally going to waste.
If you search ‘best IT recycling and disposal services near me’ or similar, you will find out your options.
You could take it to a recycling center yourself, or pay for it to be collected by your local council. However, depending on how much equipment you wish to get rid of, and factoring in either the council fee or petrol costs, you could end up out of pocket.
Oneplace2save has the appropriate vans to safely transport a wide variety of IT equipment, to ensure it reaches its destination in the same condition as when it was loaded into the van. All our drivers operate with Public Liability and Goods in Transit Insurance.
You may not have given it much thought, but the manner in which you dispose of your unwanted office IT equipment can reflect (positively or negatively) on your business. All organizations have a duty of care with regard to the recycling and disposal of IT equipment.
Furthermore, social responsibility is an increasingly important factor in customers’ brand loyalty, and irresponsible or wasteful disposal can damage a company’s reputation.
We work with businesses of all sizes, schools, colleges, community organizations, and more and are experts at clearing your office of all unwanted equipment while causing the minimum disruption possible.
Just because we are providing this service for free does not mean we will provide anything less than our best professional service. As a respected London office clearance company, we have honed our techniques over our many years in business in order to deliver a positive customer experience which has earned us many reviews from happy customers.
Oneplace2save offers one of the best IT disposal and recycling services around. We can erase computers data at WEEE standard (serial numbers will be recorded at the collection) and a certificate will be issued by the office team once we have received the IT equipment.
We do not recycle hard drives (all hard drives will be destroyed), due to data safety but everything else we recycle (reuse/resell) or dispose of for you. Here is a list of items we can accept, although other pieces of equipment may apply – just tell us what you’ve got and we’ll let you know if we can accept it.
As people increasingly work from home, you may now find that you need to be more mindful of GDPR and security regarding home computers. You may also have had to upgrade your current system and have been left with perfectly usable IT equipment that, unfortunately, doesn’t meet your new work requirements.
That’s where we come in. We will collect your unwanted IT equipment and take it away, free of charge. We will then use the same care and adhere to the same levels of compliance and GDPR as we would with an office machine.
For a small number of items, or individual items such as s single laptop or printer, we will need to charge a small fee to help us with labor costs and transportation expenses. However, this fee will still be a cost-effective solution for your IT waste disposal needs.
You may be wondering, what’s in it for us? Well, we try to recoup transport and labor costs by recycling and reselling your unwanted IT equipment, at no charge to you.
This is why we may need to charge a small fee for smaller pick-ups, as we may otherwise lose money on transport and manpower compared to the resale value of your items.
Naturally, this also means you can purchase refurbished IT equipment from us. We take the utmost care with everything we collect, wrapping and packing screens, etc to ensure nothing gets damaged en route. Everything is then sorted and assessed before being tested and cleaned to make it impossible to identify where it came from.
We look forward to hearing from you!
